Spiritual Direction

In spiritual direction, I must examine what is happening in my heart, where the spirit is moving, if I feel desolation or consolation, if I am tired, why I am sad: These are the things to talk about with the man or woman who is my spiritual director.

Pope Francis

Spiritual Direction can help you:
  • Recognize and trust your own experiences of God
  • Discern or make difficult choices
  • Better integrate your faith life into your everyday life
  • Explore ways to pray
  • Grow in your relationship with God, others, self and all of God’s creation
  • Grow into the person that God is calling you to be

Spiritual direction is for anyone who would like to grow in their personal relationship with God.

Each person seeking direction determines how long and how often they will meet. The most common arrangement is a monthly appointment for one hour.

Suggested Stipend:  $45  (other arrangements can be made)

Contact any of the spiritual directors listed to learn more or to schedule a conversation.

One of my favorite written prayers ends with “Show me Lord, how to love you, and guide me in becoming the person whom you created me to be.”  I’ve been going to a spiritual companion/director for more than 15 years and their attentive listening allows me to identify how God is working in my life. Sacred listening allows us to identify God working in our lives and it is an honor to witness those moments of grace.

Diploma in Catholic Theology from Sacred Heart Major Seminary
Graduate of Dominican Center for Religious Development
Internship in Spiritual Direction

I have been receiving spiritual direction for over 10 years. Having someone walk with me in my spiritual life has been life-changing. I consider it a gift to be accompanied by someone in my spiritual journey and to also accompany someone in theirs. Spiritual direction allows one to discover in themself more of who God made them to be. In growing in self discovery, you grow closer to God.

I am a mother of five adult children and a grandmother of seven grandchildren. My husband and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our family.
