As a Passionist Family, we believe that “a deepening awareness of the spirituality of Paul of the Cross leads us to a greater sense of compassion. This compassion begins with solidarity with a suffering world.”
This Easter Season, we ask you to walk with us
Aware of the human suffering caused by the global migration, the Congregation of the Passion has invited our Passionist Family to enter a process of prayer, listening and discernment to respond to the human and spiritual needs of migrants as they seek safety and economic opportunity in our communities. Within each of our personal family histories, there is a story of how we came to America.
For this year’s Easter Appeal, we ask you to compassionately donate to St. Paul’s “Walking Together – Caminando Juntos” initiative. Monies raised now through Pentecost will be given to Metro Detroit organizations we have invited together to form a coalition that broadly supports those seeking asylum in Michigan. We at St. Paul’s are grateful to have entered the stories of two of the families we plan to help.
The faithful donors of St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center have always responded with compassion. While we can’t help everyone, we are compelled by our Passionist Charism to positively address and raise awareness around this unprecedented worldwide migration.
