DCRD - Dominican Center for Religious Development
The mission of the Dominican Center for Religious Development (DCRD) is to provide spiritual direction to anyone who comes to the Center. In the Dominican tradition, we strive to nurture the contemplative dimension of life by assisting and encouraging persons of any faith in their relationship with God.
We offer a two-year internship in spiritual direction to educate and resource persons who are interested in deepening their understanding of the nature and process of spiritual direction and who sense a possible calling to this ministry. This internship program has been designed so that full time pastoral ministers can participate.
We sponsor an annual colloquium for spiritual directors as well as supervision for those engaged in the ministry of spiritual direction.
We provide directed retreats and theology classes at various sites. We offer nationally and internationally know speakers.
We are also committed to supporting adult faith through working with local churches, religious congregations and individuals. We will assist in sponsoring onsite days of prayer and faith sharing, Advent and Lenten programs and retreats for staffs, faculties, catechists or other faith groups.
